		<description>LAUNCH WEBSITE

Honourably mentioned in The New York Times, Wired Magazine, The Next Web, TechCrunch and Macworld, "Pocket Zoo" is a fun application for children and animal lovers. It allows users to view live footage of animals in the zoo and read more information about their favourite animals.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_ipad4.png" width="670" height="400" width_o="670" height_o="400" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_ipad4_o.png" data-mid="9394520"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
The iPad App icon was reinvented to present a new bamboo brand concept, along with an HD badge.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_website1.png" width="670" height="543" width_o="670" height_o="543" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_website1_o.png" data-mid="9394494"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
Incorporated existing visual assets to design a promotional website. The website highlights the application's features and introduces "Pocket Zoo" for the iPad.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_website3.png" width="670" height="543" width_o="670" height_o="543" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1877897/pocketzoo_website3_o.png" data-mid="9394501"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>LAUNCH SITE

This award-winning website (winner of the RGD Web Design and Applied Arts awards) showcases the works produced by the 2011 York/Sheridan Graduate Show students. It was used by each student as a self promotional tool. By randomizing the arrangement of students and projects, the website provides an equal opportunity to the audience to view all graduates’ works. Each student has their own animated profile which includes an object, which they felt, most directly expresses a fragment of their personality.

The objective was to design and maintain a website to promote the Graduate Show and highlight the works of each student. The objective was achieved by prioritizing the needs of the target audience, discussing not only practical features such as usability and system efficiency, but also how users think and feel about interactive systems. It was important to incorporate key features within the website to meet the target audience’s versatile needs.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/rgd_AA_logos.png" width="253" height="60" width_o="253" height_o="60" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/rgd_AA_logos_o.png" data-mid="9530618"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

Within the website, students had their own space to post projects and introduce themselves within a professional context as a graphic designer to potential employers, companies, and all others accessing the website.

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/YSDN_website3.png" width="670" height="401" width_o="670" height_o="401" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/YSDN_website3_o.png" data-mid="9395355"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/YSDN_website4.png" width="670" height="401" width_o="670" height_o="401" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/78915/1897605/YSDN_website4_o.png" data-mid="9469494"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

FULL VIEW

In addition, a mobile application was conceptualized to compliment the website. Similar to the website, the mobile app would filter student projects by course, medium, print and digital. Users could bookmark their favourite projects and locate their favourite work on a floor plan of the venue.</description>

		<description>Hikerr is a website that allows students to track their own academic path in a holistic manner. The website allows users to input courses that they are taking, read reviews of various courses, create their timetable, ensure that they fulfill necessary pre-requisites and achieve their academic goals as a whole. In addition, communities of students can use the site to share their academic history with others. For example, you may see that your friend has enrolled in a course you’re interested in, you can read comments from others about various courses and add those courses to your own path.

		<description>A designer’s role in society is part of a more complex social structure. Using Helen Armstrong’s, “Graphic Design Theory: Readings from the Field” and Kenya Hara’s “Designing Design” concepts of creating an investigation of one’s experience as a designer, I explored a particular experience of mine. Building on Hara’s thinking, the work below primarily explores how our technological advancements cause our senses to deteriorate.
